This article explains the different ways that admins and users can download the Cato Client and then connect to the Cato Cloud.
Users with Windows, macOS, and Linux devices can download the newest version of the Cato Client from the Client download portal.
Admins can download the newest versions of Cato Client for Windows, macOS, and Linux devices from the Client Rollout page.
You can download the MSI file for the Windows Client from the Client Rollout page or from the following link:
-
Windows Client MSI: https://clientdownload.catonetworks.com/public/clients/setup.msi
Note
Note: When using the MSI to install the Cato Client, you must use the filename setup.msi.
You can download the Cato Client for iOS and Android from their respective app stores.
Note: The Cato Client isn't available in the China App Store. Users that use the China App Store can't install the Client on iOS devices.
Users can also download the Cato Client from the User Portal.
For more about the User Portal, see Managing SDP Clients with the Cato User Portal.

Updated download links to match the User Portal.
Can you list the version number somewhere so we can tell if this is a new client that needs downloaded?
The link for "Managing VPN Clients with the MyVPN User Portal" does not work.
Jennifer,
Thanks for the heads-up, we fixed the link!
Regarding the Client version, which OS are you asking about? For the Windows Client, the Details tab in the setup.exe file properties window shows the Client version.
It would be nice to have 1 location where the latest version (in .exe and MSI) can be found.
Every time I see a notice for a new client in our management tool, it is nowhere to be found (always trying several locations, tech articles, .exe and .msi).
This makes corporate rollout and testing possible (before Cato decides to update the already rolled-out clients).
Please provide us with an up-to-date SDP Client location.
Erik,
Thanks for your suggestion, we will make sure that this article is up-to-date with the links for the newest SDP Clients. You can click Follow on this article to recieve email notifications when there is a new comment on this article.

The Windows MSI link no longer works, its comes up with '
Whoops. We can't take you any further.
Share has been disabled.'
Jon - I will update RnD with your request. Thanks!
James - so sorry for the broken link. I updated the article with a new link to download the Windows v5.3 MSI file.
Thanks Yaakov Simon, its working now.
hello, i received an alert in my portal windows client 5.4.124.1105 is available for download. the links here still point to 5.3. Where is the best place to find current downloads?
Thanks!
John,
We are still in the gradual deployment phase of Windows Client v5.4, and we have not yet uploaded it to the User Portal. After the new version is available in the User Portal, the links in this article will automatically be updated.
You can get more information about Cato's upgrade process for Clients here: Client Lifecycle Management
Thanks!
I've downloaded 5.3.x many times while waiting for 5.4.x because I can't tell without downloading whether or not it is a higher version. Could you put the version number on this page beside the links so I don't have to manually check it myself? The .exe shows the version number after downloading if you check the properties but the .msi will not show the version until you try to install.
And again there is a new version, and it's nowhere to be found to download...
As a company We want to test deployments BEFORE Cato decides to auto-update clients.
I know we can disable the auto-update, but this needs to be enabled to push THE LAST older versions to the latest version. NOT the first...
Again I would opt to have a download location where the latest versions (MSI and EXE) are located as soon as they are promoted/released.
With the latest 5.4 version the update fails on a fair amount of our laptops. Please update the client version online.
Can we please get the 5.4 installer on here that is auto-updating on clients already for a while now?
Do you have download links for the version 5.4 windows client in both exe and msi?
I appreciate the version number in text above the links -- however, it still shows 5.3 when 5.4 is what is downloaded. Sorry to be a pain!
Hello Christopher!
Thank you very much for pointing this out to us. The article has been corrected.

Hello Jørn-Morten!
Thank you very much for pointing this out. I will ask our documentation team to get this corrected.
I will also pass on your comments about the point you have raised about IT admins requiring a predictable way to access binaries.
Kind Regards,
Dermot Doran (Cato Networks Community Manager).
Hi,
When can we expect the v5.5 MSI file?
Kind regards,
Nick
Hello Nick!
The 5.5 client is currently in gradual roll-out (see this KB for details). The KB you have commented on will be updated at a later date. I recommend that you follow this KB article so that you can receive an email update when the MSI file has been uploaded.
Does this information help you out? If not, I recommend that you open a Support ticket with us so that we can help you further.
Kind Regards,
Dermot Doran (Cato Networks Community Manager)
Could you upload the latest 5.5.115 client for Windows?
I can't understand why you don't share the latest installer file even after it's deployed to the users with the auto upgrade.
Hello Takushi-san!
We do not update this KB article with the latest client until it has progressed further via the "Gradual Rollout". This policy is best described here.
However, it would be interesting to know if this policy causes you specific problems. We are very happy to receive feedback about everything! To obtain feedback in a more efficient manner we have introduced our online Community This link is also available at the top of all Knowledge Base pages. There is a topic in the community called "Cato Product Suggestions". This would be the best topic to use when reporting any issue you might have like this one. I am responsible for making sure that all posts to this community are responded to.
Our plan is to move all comments relating to KB articles to this online community. This has not yet been done because we need to make changes to the Knowledge Base first.
If you have any questions about my response you can also contact me via people-pop@catonetworks.com. Obviously, you can also just reply here!
Kind Regards,
Dermot Doran (Cato Networks Community Manager)
Thank you for doing this, Jørn-Morten!
I include a link to this suggestion here.

Updated and replaced individual Client OS links, with links to the the Client download portal (which doesn't require authentication)
Hello,
Our organization also doesn't use the "Gradual Rollout" options offered by Cato. We use third-party deployment tools similar to other customers above and manage the rollout of the client ourselves.
Can you please post the version 5.5 MSI so customers who manage their own rollouts may begin testing this version? I am being asked by support if we are using the 5.5 version related to an issue we are seeing, but it's not even available for us to download yet.
The version available in the Cato User Portal is an EXE. The EXE does contain an MSI, but the MSI contained within that EXE appears to be different from the MSI that is normally updated on this page.
May I suggest reformatting this KB page into a table of different versions, release dates, download links, and you can also include your current status (e.g. "Deploying via Gradual Rollout", "Fully Deployed", "Supported", "Deprecated", etc.)? This would allow you to clearly differentiate between versions and reduce the frustration and confusion in these comments. Having the distinction would also allow Cato to post the newer versions to this page more expediently.
Here's a mock-up of what it could look like (obviously this information is not completely accurate, but you could adjust as you see fit):
For those of us who do not use the auto-update feature, is there an expected date of availability? Or can we get a copy of the latest version mentioned in the release notification to test on a few devices?
Hello Jessica!
There is a ongoing discussion about this in our online Community. I would be very grateful if you could add your questions to the discussion. I am working with Product Management on this and reporting back progress via that discussion.
Kind Regards,

This portal doesn't have 5.6.x yet.
Please upload the latest version.
Even I can't download it from https://myvpn.catonetworks.com/.
I wonder why this kind of slow update happens.
