Product Update - Mar. 25th, 2024

New Features & Enhancements

  • Assign Sockets Using the Socket Inventory Page: Assign Sockets to the appropriate sites with the Assign to a site action in the Socket Inventory page. This simplifies the process of assigning several Sockets to different sites.
    • The Socket must be connected to the Internet with the status Installed
  • New Default Configuration for EPP Behavioral Engine: We have enhanced Endpoint Protection (EPP) to ensure malicious processes are killed by default. We changed the configuration of the Behavioral engine from Monitor to Kill in the default EPP profile.
    • This change is for new EPP customers only, there's no impact to existing EPP customers
    • We recommend updating your existing configuration for the Behavioral engine to Kill
  • Better Visibility and Control over Access to your Account: The new Administration > Account Access page gives you improved visibility and control over access to your account by Cato admins.
    • View active and recent admin access to your account, for example, to see the lifecycle for a Support ticket
    • Provide temporary access to your Cato account with specific permissions and end date, for example, for a Cato Professional Services engineer
  • Cato Management Application Enhancement: For the Monitoring > Network Dashboard page, you can now group links by the service Provider with the Group By option (shown in the Links section). This gives you information about connectivity for all of your links for each Provider.
  • New Knowledge Base Page about the Cato Product Roadmap: The Cato Product Roadmap page lets you follow the status of features and enhancements that are currently in development and being rolled out.
    • The Roadmap is updated weekly, check the comments for information about the changes
    • Click Follow to automatically receive email notifications for updates to this page
    • You must be logged in to the Knowledge Base to access the Roadmap

Note: Content described in this update is gradually rolled out to the Cato PoPs over a two-week period. In addition, new features are gradually activated in the Cato Management Application over the same two-week rollout period as the PoPs. For more information, see this article. See the Cato Status Page for more information about the planned maintenance schedule.
