New Features & Enhancements
-
New EPP Agent v1.1: From May 5th, 2024, we are starting to roll out the Endpoint Protection (EPP) Agent version 1.1. This version contains:
-
New Protection Engine: The new Anti Exploit engine uses machine learning to protect against threats that attack software vulnerabilities.
- This new engine is in addition to the two existing protection engines
- Examples of attack techniques that are protected against include:
- Privilege escalation
- Process introspection
- LSASS credential dumping
- Automated Check for Other EPP Products: Cato's EPP Agent cannot effectively protect an endpoint if another EPP solution is running. To ensure it can protect the endpoint, the Agent now automatically checks if another EPP solution is installed.
- Uninstall and Delete the Agent in One Action: You can now uninstall the Agent from an endpoint and delete it from your account in one action.
- Previously uninstalling the Agent and deleting the Agent had to be done separately
- If required, you can still uninstall the Agent from an endpoint without deleting it from your account
-
New Protection Engine: The new Anti Exploit engine uses machine learning to protect against threats that attack software vulnerabilities.
-
New SaaS Security API Connector for GitHub: We added a connector for GitHub that lets you scan the commits that users push to a GitHub repository to identify sensitive data.
- Scan commits for all repositories or select specific ones
- Events include a link to the diff comparison for the commit
-
Client Notifications for Application Control Policies: For improved user experience, you can enable Client notifications to inform users when they are blocked by a CASB or DLP rule in the Cato Management Application.
- Supported for Windows Client v5.10 and higher
