Cato Socket Deployment Guides and Data Sheets

These are the available hardware guides and data sheets for the X1500, X1600, and X1700 sockets.

As there might be some differences between the sub-models of a Socket, for example, weight, throughput, and more, take time to read the relevant information specific to your model.

The X1700 data sheet does not mention the 4 port 1Gbps fiber extension card. It also does not provide any technical information of the SFP modules delivered with the extension cards like wavelength, range (e.g. distance supported like 10-20km or 40-80km etc, specifically for the single mode) etc.

Missing the new rack mount guide for the X1500B models, these are very different from the original X1500

Gents, some drawings in the new rack mounting guide are reversed for the X1500B model. Ports front is at the ports back and vice versa. Just FYI

What is included in the X1500 package? other than the power adapter.

The X1500 package includes a DB9-RJ45 serial cable and power adapter.  However, it is possible to order a rack mounting kit.

The X1500 Rack mount kit are now purchased on a NRR pricing model. Is the annual maintenance contract included in the CATO site license?

Yes, the maintenance contract for the X1500 Socket includes the Rack mount kit.

    Thanks,

Where is power cord/plug/socket information for the X1700(B)?

    - Are power cords shipped, if so what type?

    - A rear photo of information on the power connector in the Cato sockets would allow us to order appropriate cords if the included ones won't work or if none are included.

It seems that the MAX Throughput specification is no longer listed in the X1500 Datasheet.
Is the MAX Throughput for the X1500 still 500 Mbps as before?
Also, does the MAX Throughput refer to the combined total of Downstream and Upstream traffic?

    Hi,

The throughput for the X1500B is still 500 Mbps, and yes, it's bi-directional.

    Regards,

    Yaron

It's not clear in the datasheet and deployment guide if it is possible to install 2 add-on cards on the X1700B

For example I would like 2 pieces of 2 x 10GB installed on a X1700B for add-on card hardware redundancy

Hi Rasmus, thank you for your comment.

Please see the section in the Socket Deployment Guide, Working with X1700 Socket Network Card Add-On. Only one add-on card is supported at a time.

    Regards,

    Yaron
