New Features & Enhancements

  • Events Discovery: New powerful Analytics feature that helps you easily filter thousands of events and now exposes many fields and event data related to networking, connectivity, and security. You can also use this powerful drill-down tool to help analyze these events and troubleshooting a variety of scenarios. Read more.
  • New Ordered Firewall: We have now completed migrating the firewall rules to the new ordered firewall for all accounts.
    • The new ordered firewall is disabled after the migration, and you continue to use the previous firewall until you enable the new one.
    • After the migration, there is a popup warning message when admins save changes to the old firewall rules. You need to duplicate the changes to the new firewall rules.

  • Flexible VPN IP Range: For the entire account, we now support VPN IP ranges from /24 to /16.

Cato Client Releases

  • Android VPN Client: Android Client 4.0.0 is now available in Google Play with these features: 
    • Support for Chromebook devices: Chromebook devices can install the Android VPN Client to securely connect to the Cato Cloud.
    • Update Clients to new Cato branding.
  • iOS VPN Client: iOS Client v. 4.0.0 is now available in the App store with these features: 
    • VPN Office Mode: The feature was previously called Disable Office Connectivity. By default VPN Office Mode is enabled with the following behavior: when the Cato VPN Client detects that the device is inside the office, it connects automatically to the office Socket. You can choose to disable this feature and connect directly to the Cato Cloud. Read more.

PoP Announcement

  • Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam: An enhanced PoP is now available in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and completely integrated into the Cato Networks ASN.
