Cato is moving the Knowledge Base to a new platform to provide a more intuitive and efficient enablement and knowledge experience. This article explains the improvements and changes.
There is no impact for opening or viewing Support tickets.
Overview
The new Knowledge Base platform includes several significant improvements:
- Search capabilities are enhanced with filtering options, so you can narrow results and find the most relevant content more easily
- A built-in AI assistant to help you find relevant information
- Easier navigation between articles related to the same feature
Moving to the New Platform
Once generally available, the new platform will host all existing Cato feature content. To ensure a successful transition, articles will gradually move to the new platform in stages during an early availability phase. Until the transition is complete, the new platform will be hosted at a temporary URL.
- During early availability (EA), the new platform will be hosted at a new domain
- All content will be duplicated for the current and new platforms
- No impact to Support tickets, or the related URLs
- Any bookmarked KB articles and links will continue to work even after moving to the new platform
Early Availability of the New Platform
EA of the new Knowledge Base platform is scheduled for June 2026
During EA, the new platform will temporarily be hosted at a new domain, and all articles will be updated on both the old and the new platform.
IMPORTANT: If you follow an article in the current Knowledge Base, the follow setting does not carry over to the new Knowledge Base platform. During EA, make sure to follow articles in the new platform.
General Availability
We are planning to release the new Knowledge Base platform as General Availability (GA) at the beginning of July 2026.
Individual articles will have new URLs. If you access an old article URL, you are automatically redirected to the new location.
As part of GA, the old Knowledge Base platform will be deactivated and no longer available.
How do I know the Exact Dates for Migration to the New Platform?
All dates will be communicated through the Cato Release Notes.
1 month before GA of the new platform, we will add a banner to the old Knowledge Base announcing the change.
