If your organization uses proxy servers, the hosts in the network need to know through which proxies to send relevant traffic. You can configure the Cato Clients to pull a proxy configuration file (PAC file) from a specific URL.
You can define PAC files for these Cato Management Application objects:
-
Account
-
Groups or User Groups
-
Users

When a PAC file is configured for multiple objects, the most specific object takes precedence as shown in the following list:
-
Users (highest priority)
-
Groups or User Groups
-
Account (lowest priority)
For example, the user settings for a PAC file URL takes precedence over a PAC file URL configured for a group.
PAC files aren't supported for Android and Linux operating systems.
-
From the navigation menu, click Assets > Groups. The Groups screen opens.
For User Groups, click Access > User Groups. The User Groups screen opens.
-
Select a group or User Group. The General screen opens.
-
From the navigation menu, click Proxy Configuration.
-
Select Enable PAC File for SDP Clients.
-
Enter the PAC file URL.
-
Click Save.
For the supported operating systems, you can define a proxy configuration (PAC) file URL for specific SDP users. The PAC file settings for an SDP user override the global configuration for the account and for groups or User Groups.
