Cato Management Application Notification: Update to Deprecated Applications

  • Updated

Small Change to Cato Management Application – No Impact or Action Required

Starting on August 14, 2022, Cato will remove a few deprecated applications in the relevant accounts. These applications contain a few separate apps that will be automatically replaced with the corresponding categories. For example, a rule with the mail application will be automatically modified so that it now contains the email category.

There will be no impact to your account, this is a cosmetic change.

What is the Impact to My Account?

No action is required on your part. We will replace the application with the corresponding category in the relevant policy rules. There is no impact to existing behavior in your account.

This automatically applies to all policies in the Cato Management Application that are currently using deprecated applications (such as WAN firewall, Internet firewall, Network Rules, and so on).

Who do I talk to if I have questions?

Please contact Support, or your authorized Cato representative.
