This article discusses the Sockets & Accessories page, which shows information about all the Sockets ordered for and connected to your account.
The Sockets & Accessories page shows information about Sockets that you ordered from Cato, such as delivery tracking details. In addition, you can easily view Socket information for connected sites, such as version number and serial number.

On the Sockets & Accessories page, you assign or unassign Sockets to sites. Before you assign a Socket to a site, it must have Internet connectivity and have the status of Installed.
For more information about assigning Sockets to sites, see Managing Sockets.
By default, Sockets are automatically upgraded to the newest version as part of the Cato platform. However, in some scenarios, you might want to skip an upgrade. For your convenience, you can quickly pause or resume upgrades on a Socket directly on the Sockets & Accessories page.
After manually upgrading to the newest version, the Socket resumes the automatic upgrade process.
To pause or resume upgrades for a Socket from a site:
-
From the navigation menu, click Account > Sockets & Accessories.
-
Click the three dots to the right of any Socket.
-
Select one of the following options:
-
Upgrade: For a Socket that was paused, manually upgrade to the newest version right now
-
Pause Automatic Upgrades: Exclude this Socket from automatically upgrading to the newest version

If the notification doesn't appear in the notification area then the secondary step to add the socket to the site seems to need updating. As for Feb 2025, I do not see the “Sockets Inventory” as mentioned in the article. What I see is "Sockets & Accessories" which shows a similar screen to the “Sockets Inventory” in the document. See below for the image. Manually assigning a socket to a site from this section does not seem possible as the options are all greyed out nor do I see a option to “Assign to Site” as a Cato editor user account. I will contact support to ask how to manually add a x1500 to a site.
Hi Neil, thanks for your comments. We updated the name of the page in the article and in the screenshot. We also added the information that sockets can only be assigned to a site when their state is “Installed”.
